A little about how Nysa Cane Corso got started...

Picture
My Name is Marie Roderiques and I am a small hobby breeder located in Southwest Florida. My love for the corso breed started in 2008 when I got my first black brindle corso Josie. She has been the most amazing dog since the day I brought her home. She is very intelligent, loyal, loving and protective. Everything you could ask for in a dog. She has a wonderful personality and gets along great with other dogs, animals, kids and people. Unfortunately at around 12-14 months of age Josie started to have some health problems and was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. At age 2 Josie tore her acl and unfortunately had to have multiple knee surgery's and months of recovery. Although Josie has recovered great after her surgeries. Knowing what I, and more importantly Josie, has had to endure made me want to get involved in bettering this beautiful breed. I want people to enjoy these amazing dogs without having the same emotional and financial burdens that we have endured with our beautiful Jojo. In 2011 after months and months of research into Cane Corso breeders I was lucky to find a wonderful breeder, who has mentored me and helped me get to where we are today. I am truly excited to embark on this new endeavor. I have great ambition to help this rare breed get the recognition it deserves.

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog thinks I am.
